Origin
Choose your stone's originNatural garnet runs a deep, dark red, less vivid than the forged stone. Tiny inner inclusions catch the light and make every one unrepeatable.

The engraving
Choose the word that stays. We engrave it on the inner shank, against the skin: no one will see it, and you will always know it is there.
The inner shank
A secret engraved on the inner shank. Visible only to the wearer.

Anatomy of a wound
Oxidized 925 silver, luminous pavé. Seven red-orange lab-grown spinels in brilliant cut, cluster set like blood the fire never quenched, each stone hand chiseled.

The stone
Stones
A red spinel grown in a laboratory, cut round brilliant. The colour leans warm, a red that opens towards orange, a lit ember rather than arterial blood, and it holds exactly that tone across every facet. Spinel is hard and bright and takes a sharp polish, so the stone stays crisp against oxidised silver instead of sinking into it. No veils, no shadows, nothing interrupting the light.
Each stone is set by hand, grain by grain: the metal is carved open and closed back over the stone.
Laboratory-grown or natural, we say the real name of the stone, and we rank neither. The third commandment.
The stones are selected one by one: small variations are part of the piece. Would you like to choose them with us? Write to us.
Made for you alone
Where it is born
We do not list handwork among the virtues: for us it is the blood of the work. Each piece is born in the Oromare workshops and finished in Naples' Borgo degli Orefici, where metal has been struck for seven hundred years.
Why it cannot return
Not only for the size and the stone you choose. The design is ours, but the piece is born only because you asked for it: what you bring to life cannot return. By law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to what is made to measure for one person alone (art. 59, para 1, letters c and e of the Italian Consumer Code). A wrong size is not a return: we resize it free, for as long as the forge stands. If, by rare exception, the atelier accepts a piece back, it is never resold: it is melted down and the silver goes back to the crucible. No piece lives twice. The Manifesto
Tied to a date?
Handwork can ask for a few extra days. If your piece is a gift or bound to a date, order one to two weeks ahead and write to support@brokenhearts.co: it takes priority.
The anatomy of value
Three hands
Lost-wax cast at 720 degrees. Finished by hand, grit 220 to 1200. Each grain set by hand, the metal carved open, then closed back over the stone. Three workshops touch every piece. None of them hurries.
The days
Three to ten working days of hand labor. Fourteen at most, when the piece is engraved. You are not waiting for a parcel. You are waiting for the work.
The hundred
The forge takes one hundred new clients a month. When the list is full, it closes. It reopens the month after. Those in the Register never queue: for them, the forge opens first.
The rest is written in the Lex Centum.
Forged One by One
Every piece is born in Naples, in the hands that forge it.
